PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sir Didymus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Segata Sanshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Didymus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome to the TerrorDome. Sanshiro has chosen Sega Satan! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Segata Sanshiro acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Segata Sanshiro!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Sanshiro.
Didymus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Didymus throws a lazy right hand but Sanshiro sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sanshiro closes the distance but Didymus moves to the side

and Didymus counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sanshiro!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Didymus cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Poor strikes thrown by Didymus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Didymus wants to control the pace but Sanshiro is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Didymus has hold of Sanshiro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sanshiro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Didymus sizes up Sanshiro with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

so Didymus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Didymus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Didymus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanshiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Didymus has gone for a leg lock! Sanshiro slips out almost immediately though and dives into Didymus's guard.

Didymus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanshiro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sanshiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Didymus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Didymus is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
