The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose tries to clinch up but Kay circles away and keeps his distance.

Kay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rose sprawls well initially but Kay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Well, if Kay is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kay looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rose with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Marcus Kay just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Kay closes the distance and clinches.
Rose is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kay pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Kay is trying to control the action in half guard but Rose is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kay knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rose on the ground.

Rose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rose is tightening it up a little... Kay has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kay reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kay taps out! nice BJJ there by Rose!
