The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin motions for Aldo to come forward. Rasputin throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Rasputin feints and as Aldo raises his hands in defense, Rasputin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rasputin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aldo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rasputin shoots in and bounces Aldo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Aldo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rasputin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aldo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rasputin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Aldo's face.
