And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takei sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gracie throws a poor cross that misses
and Takei decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gracie's guard.
Takei trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Takei preventing the sweep.
Takei would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Takei is keeping the position.
Takei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Takei is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gracie lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Gracie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gracie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Takei from controlling successfully.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Takei has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends an breaks Takei's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.
