Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Marquardt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marquardt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Welcome to the TerrorDome. Shawn Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lands a jab to Marquardt's midsection.

Marquardt has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jackson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Marquardt.

Marquardt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jackson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Marquardt cracks Jackson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Marquardt is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jackson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
