The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sarbinov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kyou can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kyou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sarbinov swivels and escapes.

Sarbinov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sarbinov has hold of Kyou's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kyou seems comfortable defending it but Sarbinov has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kyou is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kyou is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sarbinov couldn't care less - he's delighted!
