PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wang Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wang Chi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fernando Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wang Chi!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Chi!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Perez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Chi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Perez wants to control the pace but Chi is squirming around nicely.

Chi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fernando Perez will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
