The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for West, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fist lands with a nice combination. West backs away looking to recover.
Fist lands a jab to the head.
West scores with the left hand. Fist knows he should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
West swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fist counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
West tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A lazy left from West finds it's target.
A shot to the body from West misses

and Fist counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fist wants to free his trapped foot but West is holding on for dear life with his legs.
West blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fist.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fist is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Fist is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fist trying to control the action but West is working from the bottom.

West taking some punishment here, with Fist in his half guard.
West is positioning himself well to prevent Fist advancing to mount.
Fist trying to control from half guard but West is working away.
Fist lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Fist is nestled in close to West, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
West has hold of Fist's hands but Fist slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

West is rocked!
Fist is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, West is hurt! He's hurt bad - Fist fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save West from any more punishment! Congratulations to Fist! Great finish!
