The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? SPARRING is fending him off so far but Blake persists. Nope, SPARRING circles away and we're back to standing.

Blake darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Blake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and SPARRING defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
SPARRING is trying to get back to his feet but Blake has full control of the position and if anything, SPARRING has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Blake is working for a rear naked choke. SPARRING is not defending it well and Blake has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! SPARRING refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of SPARRING's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
