Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Lebedev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lebedev comes to the cage accompanied by Champion. Max Smith acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lebedev dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Lebedev's head and hops out.

Lebedev closes the distance and clinches.
Smith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lebedev smiles and moves away.

What can Smith do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Lebedev is looking for the choke from the back position but Smith is controlling his hands well.

Lebedev just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Lebedev lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Smith.

Lebedev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lebedev closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smith to the mat! Smith manages to get full guard.

Lebedev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lebedev get's back to his feet.
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Lebedev moves away and avoids it.
Lebedev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lebedev somewhat.

Lebedev slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lebedev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smith looks to land a combination but Lebedev avoids it well.

Lebedev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lebedev in particular looking to stall.
Smith tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Lebedev has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
