Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bj Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Evans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pride FC. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bj Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Mann!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mann.

and Evans counters with a single leg into guard. Mann didn't expect that.
Mann tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Evans working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Evans would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Evans tries to pull guard but Mann holds him up against the cage and eventually Evans drops back down to his feet.

Mann tries to score a body lock takedown but Evans shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

and Mann counters with a shoot takedown. Evans fights it but they end up in guard.

Evans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mann is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Evans doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mann.

Mann uses his free foot to push down on Evans's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Evans.

Mann looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Mann takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mann wants to finish this one by submission but Evans is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mann.

Mann has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Evans's face.

Mann is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Evans to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Evans shrugs it off.

Mann is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Evans has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Evans!
Mann is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

I've got Mann winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
