PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Guti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Junior Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Guti!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Guti.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Guti, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Guti fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Junior Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Guti.
Guti shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Guti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva tries to clinch up.
Guti shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guti wants to clinch.
Guti swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.

Silva pushes Guti up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guti has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Guti goes for a takedown attempt but Silva pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Guti.

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Silva has an Americana. Guti didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Silva is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Silva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
