PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lei Wulong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamar Arrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arrington has chosen Look What The Cat Dragged In as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Lamar Arrington enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lamar Arrington!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Arrington swings widly with a right hand
and Arrington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A clash of legs there as Arrington blocks the low kick.
A left and a right from Wulong both land. Nice combination.
Arrington uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wulong.

Arrington tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wulong paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Arrington enables Wulong to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Arrington manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wulong drops back looking for a leg! Arrington is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arrington manages to kick Wulong off! Wulong jumps back into Arrington's guard.

Arrington is pushing Wulong's head away, looking to escape. Wulong manages to hold on to the position though.
Arrington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wulong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lamar Arrington has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wulong cracks Arrington with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Arrington is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wulong has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Wulong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Arrington can do to turn this around?
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wulong postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Wulong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wulong cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lei Wulong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wulong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
