Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Midnight Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Midnight Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Al Rossi!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast walks into a jab.
Beast moves out of range as Rossi strikes.
Rossi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rossi is looking to clinch.

Beast scores a takedown into full mount!

Beast jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rossi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rossi and Beast has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rossi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Beast wants to take a breather but Rossi is having none of it.
Rossi wants to control but Beast is keeping busy.
Rossi wants to improve his position but Beast is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beast thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Beast is trying to control. Rossi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Beast is working for a kimura but Rossi is defending it quite comfortably.
Rossi tries to roll over but Beast keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Beast not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Beast trying to mount his opponent but Rossi defends it.

Beast is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Rossi still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Rossi has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Beast is trying to improve his position.

Rossi decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Rossi. No joy for Beast on that attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rossi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beast manages to avoid it.
No luck for Beast with that takedown attempt.
Rossi motions for Beast to come forward. Rossi throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rossi throws a lazy right hand but Beast sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rossi scores with a punch to the head.
Rossi fakes the leg kick and cracks Beast in the body.
Rossi throws a low kick but Beast avoids it.
Beast tries for a takedown but Rossi circles away easily
and Rossi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Midnight Beast. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rossi misses with a head kick.
Rossi misses with a low kick.
Rossi tries to clinch but Beast moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Beast blocks the leg kick.
A head kick misses from Rossi.

Beast throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rossi was covering up waiting for the punch and Beast finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Beast trying to control the position from guard on top but Rossi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Al Rossi dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Rossi throws a hook but Beast avoids it easily.
Rossi thows a body shot but no joy.
Rossi misses with a wild body shot.
Rossi throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rossi misses with a body kick.
Rossi misses with a double jab

and Beast counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rossi's guard now.

Beast has gone for a leg lock! Rossi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Beast's guard.

Beast looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rossi trying to stand up but can't free himself from Beast's guard.

Beast is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Beast throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rossi uses it to pass to side control.
Beast can't do much from the bottom here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rossi wants to stand but Beast is controlling his arm.

Rossi decides to stand up, so the ref orders Beast to his feet.
A left lands for Rossi.
Beast is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rossi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rossi tries to land a leg kick but Beast saw it coming and moves away.
Rossi misses with an uppercut. Beast saw that one coming.

Beast closes the distance and clinches.
Rossi scores with a knee to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rossi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Rossi tries a knee to the head but Beast blocks it.
Rossi throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rossi pushes off an throws an elbow but Beast leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Rossi lands a shoulder strike.
Rossi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Rossi content to slow the pace in the clinch.
A short left from Rossi.
Beast on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
With the fighters up against the cage, Rossi throws an elbow but misses.
A short right from Rossi.
Rossi is looking to control Beast's arms but Beast gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rossi has his back to the cage.
Rossi lands a nice elbow.
Rossi has Beast pushed against the cage.
Rossi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Beast.
Rossi with a knee to the head.
Rossi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Rossi throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Rossi with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Rossi trying to land knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Al Rossi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Rossi misses with a wild body shot.
Rossi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Beast has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rossi lands a nice shot that snaps Beast's head back.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Beast.
Donk. Rossi catches Beast right on the button with a cross.


Beast is rocked!
Rossi misses with an uppercut

and Beast counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rossi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beast. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Beast postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rossi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Beast, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beast is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rossi defends well.
Beast has a closed guard, preventing Rossi from standing up.

Beast looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rossi wants to get back to his feet.
Beast wants to improve his position but Rossi is controlling well.
Beast trying to hold on to Rossi's head to control him but Rossi postures up.

Beast is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rossi pulls his head out easily.
Rossi seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Rossi prevents Beast from improving his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Beast is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rossi pulls his head out easily.
Beast is trying to control but Rossi passes into side control!
Midnight Beast has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rossi decides to stand up, so the ref orders Beast to his feet.
Al Rossi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Al Rossi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rossi feints and then cracks Beast's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Beast down.
Beast tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
No luck for Beast with that takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Al Rossi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rossi winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
