Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Pratt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoelie Gan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pratt's entrance music is Bodies. A fine choice. Hoelie Gan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gan with a poor takedown
and Pratt counters with a straight right hand.
Pratt throws a head kick but Gan moves out of range.
Pratt cracks the inside of Gan's front leg.
Pratt misses with a combination

and Gan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pratt is looking to stand up but Gan isn't so interested in that idea.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Pratt keeping moving, preventing Gan from controlling successfully.

Hoelie Gan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Gan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gan is trying to control. Pratt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hoelie Gan.
Gan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pratt as he jumps to the side.
Some bone on bone action there as Gan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Pratt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gan circles away from the clinch attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pratt misses with a head kick.
Gan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Pratt tries a head kick but it misses.
Gan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pratt as he jumps to the side.
Matt Pratt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hoelie Gan.
Pratt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Pratt counters with a good low kick that Gan was not able to check.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Pratt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pratt.
A head kick misses from Pratt.
Pratt scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Pratt tries to clinch but Gan is having none of it.
Gan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Pratt counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gan!

Gan is desperately trying to improve his position but Pratt has a good base and remains in mount.

Pratt looking to control but Gan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Pratt is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Gan can't escape the position.
Gan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gan wants to control from the top but Pratt keeps moving.
Gan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pratt kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Pratt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gan is aware though and is defending well.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Hoelie Gan wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Gan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pratt!
Pratt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pratt tries to get out of the position.

Pratt is squirming around, avoiding Gan's attempts to control the action.
Gan mounts Pratt! Really nice guard pass there!
Gan scores with a couple of good head shots there.

It looks like Matt Pratt has been cut.
Gan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Gan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pratt has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Gan is riding his opponent, not letting Pratt buck him off.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pratt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gan on the ground.
Gan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Pratt.

Gan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Pratt is defending well though. Gan let's go of the attempt for now.

Gan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Hoelie Gan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Gan has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Pratt's body.
