Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tex Ranger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ranger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eaten by Bloodbath. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Ranger.
Ranger misses with a body shot.
Ranger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferrari manages to avoid it.
Ranger lands a nice looking body shot.
Ferrari misses with a wild body shot.
Ferrari rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ranger moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ranger walks into a left hand.
Ferrari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ranger moves away.
Ranger misses with a jab to the body
and Ferrari counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ferrari swings for the body but Ranger moves out of range.
Ranger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ferrari misses with a wild combination.
Ferrari misses with an uppercut

so Ranger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ranger slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Ranger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ferrari knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ferrari tries to improve position but can't.

Ranger works to advance to full mount. Ferrari defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Ferrari is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ranger works his way to his opponent's back.

Ranger is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Ferrari has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Ranger is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Ferrari with him. Ferrari is trying to defend but Ranger has an arm under the chin now! Ferrari grimaces and is forced to tap out!
