Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Bando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Corbett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Bando!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bando tries to clinch there but Corbett circles away.

Corbett moves into the clinch successfully.
Corbett on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bando wants to stall.
Bando wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Corbett connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bando's face.
Corbett throws an elbow that misses.

Bando lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Corbett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bando.

and Corbett counters with a straight right hand.
Bando shoots in and drives through. Corbett sprawls well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Corbett.

Bando tries to escape but Corbett is in control.
You can see the frustration on Bando's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The strikes coming from Corbett are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bando gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Corbett holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bando looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bando avoiding damage as Corbett throws knees to the body.
Corbett throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Bando wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bando fails to pull guard.
Nathan Corbett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Bando.

Corbett has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bando clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bando can't escape the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Corbett's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Corbett goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Bando escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Bando seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Corbett does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Corbett wants to get back to his feet.
Corbett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Corbett manages to get to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Corbett is on top in guard.

Bando wants to get back to his feet but Corbett drags him back down.
Bando is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Corbett wants to control but Bando is keeping him busy.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bando lands with a right and another and another! Corbett is in big trouble! Bando lands again and this time it's lights out for Corbett! A quality knockout there for Bando.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Luke Bando!
