Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christian Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodolfo Gusman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gusman has chosen La sonora santanera - El santo, el cavernario as his entrance music. Christian Scott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gusman throws a body punch but Scott moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gusman gets through Scott's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Gusman has Scott pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gusman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Scott tumbling to the mat - Gusman dives into Scott's guard.

Gusman is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Scott is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Scott counters by moving into the clinch.
Gusman swings wildly with an uppercut but Scott uses good head movement to avoid it.
Scott looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Gusman has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Scott avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Rodolfo Gusman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
