Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Burgundy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Burgundy moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Carter cracks Burgundy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Carter chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Burgundy can pounce on him.
Carter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Burgundy counters with a series of strikes. Carter will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ryan Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter looks to throw the jab but Burgundy is out of range.
Carter scores with a one two! Burgundy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Carter swings widly with a right hand
and Burgundy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Burgundy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Burgundy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carter.
Burgundy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Burgundy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carter makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Donk. Burgundy catches Carter right on the button with a cross.
Carter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Burgundy has time to react.

Burgundy is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Carter wants to control but Burgundy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Carter is looking for a sweep. Burgundy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Carter's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Burgundy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Burgundy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carter because Burgundy loaded up on that one.

Burgundy keeps the fight on the outside.

Carter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burgundy manages to avoid it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Burgundy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Burgundy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Carter lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Carter dominated that second round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Carter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carter tries to get out of the position.

Burgundy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Carter is controlling Burgundy's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Burgundy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carter's head.

Carter manages to escape and get back to his feet!

That has opened up Ron Burgundy's cut even more.

enabling Burgundy to counter with a crisp jab.
Carter swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Burgundy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Carter is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Burgundy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carter because Burgundy loaded up on that one.
Carter really wants to buck Burgundy off and get back to his feet.
Burgundy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carter is looking to escape.
Carter tries to hold on but Burgundy pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
