PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yosuke Kanehara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Klitschko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klitschko has chosen Monster by Skillet as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Yosuke Kanehara had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kanehara throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kanehara stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Klitschko.
Kanehara throws a lazy right hand but Klitschko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Klitschko moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Klitschko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kanehara's guard.

Klitschko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kanehara manages to get himself to full guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Klitschko connects with a nice short shot to Kanehara's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klitschko feints and then cracks Kanehara's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kanehara down.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Klitschko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kanehara tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Klitschko is in Kanehara's guard.

The crowd cheers as Klitschko lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kanehara doesn't seem phased though.
