Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Pfiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Grigoriev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Grigoriev throws a nice looking combination but Pfiel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

It looks like Josh Pfiel has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grigoriev fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pfiel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
An inside leg kick lands from Grigoriev.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pfiel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Grigoriev - the referee stops the clock and Pfiel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Grigoriev. Pfiel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Josh Pfiel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pfiel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pfiel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Grigoriev is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pfiel had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
