Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jet Fen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jet Fen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jet Fen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fen shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hunt rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hunt misses with a right hand
and Fen counters with a nice leg kick.
Hunt misses with a hook
and Fen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fen misses with a body punch

and Hunt counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hunt cracks Fen with a solid left hand.
Fen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Fen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hunt throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Fen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hunt stands up over Fen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt with a flurry of punches that miss.

Fen thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Fen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fen is looking to take a break and control but Hunt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fen prevents Hunt from improving his position.
Fen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hunt moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fen is looking to work some ground and pound but Hunt has wrist control.

Hunt keeping moving, preventing Fen from controlling successfully.

Fen wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.

Hunt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Fen looking to sit in guard and control but Hunt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hunt manages to get himself to full guard.
Fen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hunt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fen's guard.
Hunt throws a big right hand that misses.
Fen has momentary wrist control but Hunt slips an elbow through the middle.
Hunt postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fen is looking to sweep but instead, Hunt has passed into half guard.
Hunt throws a strike but Fen avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Hunt dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hunt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hunt rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fen counters with a nice body kick.
Fen jabs Hunt to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hunt avoids the body shot from Fen.
Fen throws a solid leg kick but Hunt takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Fen.
Hunt misses with a lunging right hand
and Fen counters with a leg kick.
Hunt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fen counters with a low kick, right behind Hunt 's knee.

and Fen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hunt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Hunt tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

and Hunt counters with a nice uppercut.
Fen ducks right into an uppercut from Hunt.

Fen tries a head kick but it misses.
Fen misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Hunt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hunt misses with a lunging right hand
and Fen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fen is looking to wear down Hunt with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hunt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hunt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hunt misses with a left hand
and Fen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hunt throws a right and a left that Fen avoids nicely.
Hunt throws a right hand that misses
and Fen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hunt scores with a nice head shot.
Hunt thuds a left hand into Fen's body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fen.
Nice takedown defense from Hunt. No joy for Fen on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jet Fen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A left lands for Hunt.

Fen gets a takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hunt wants to improve his position but Fen is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fen is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hunt works his way to full guard. Good work.
Fen postures up in Hunt's guard and throws a big left but Hunt blocks it.
Hunt is trying to keep Fen in close.

Hunt moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hunt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fen is one step ahead there.

Fen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hunt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fen has managed to get both his arms back between Hunt's legs - danger averted.
Fen wants to pass the guard but Hunt is keeping the position.
Fen is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jet Fen.
Fen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hunt throws a right hand that misses
and Fen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fen fails with the takedown
letting Hunt counter with a right hand.
Hunt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hunt might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Hunt misses with an uppercut. Fen saw that one coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jet Fen dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hunt sprawls well initially but Fen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fen moves into full mount! Hunt won't be happy about that!
Hunt wants to hold on but Fen pushes him away.
Hunt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hunt is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hunt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Fen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Fen in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hunt is trying to escape the mount.
Jet Fen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hunt tries to improve his position but Fen has taken his back! Fen has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Hunt tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Fen pushes Hunt away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jet Fen!
