The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red slips a straight right by Ufcowski jr.

and Ufcowski jr counters with a shoot takedown. Red fights it but they end up in guard.
Red is trying to control the position but Ufcowski jr postures up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Red fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ufcowski jr, pushing him back against the ropes.
Red gets control of Ufcowski jr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Red will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Damien Red hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Red tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ufcowski jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Red somewhat.
Red tries to close the distance and clinch but Ufcowski jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Red looks to land a combination but Ufcowski jr avoids it well.
Red shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ufcowski jr napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Ufcowski jr is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
