Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orh Urdaalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urdaalen has chosen Dope - I'm Back as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Powers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Orh Urdaalen!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Urdaalen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Urdaalen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Powers is desperately trying to improve his position but Urdaalen has a good base and remains in mount.
Powers sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Powers slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Urdaalen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Powers working for a triangle but Urdaalen defends it easily.

Powers wants to sweep but no luck.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Powers is on top in guard.

Powers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Powers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Powers.

Powers drops back looking for a leg! Urdaalen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Urdaalen manages to kick Powers off! Powers jumps back into Urdaalen's guard.

Powers postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Urdaalen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Powers, into his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Powers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Urdaalen is aware though and is defending well.
Powers is trying to keep Urdaalen in close.

Powers pushes Urdaalen off and gets back to his feet.

Powers gets a takedown into half guard.

Powers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Powers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Urdaalen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Powers forces his way into half guard.

Powers seems to be looking for submissions.

Powers is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Powers postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Urdaalen to stand up.

Powers manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

No luck for Powers with that takedown attempt.

Powers drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Urdaalen takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Powers throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Powers tries to score with some ground and pound. Urdaalen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ground and pound from Powers seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Powers closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Powers seems to be working for a kimura but Urdaalen defends the submission attempt.

Powers in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Urdaalen tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Powers!
