Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kendric Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dalton comes into the arena with Senor blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendric Dalton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dalton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dalton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is looking for a triangle but Dalton pushes his legs off easily.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dalton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dalton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Johnson parries the strikes from Dalton easily there. Dalton is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Johnson to escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dalton cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That has opened up Brandon Johnson's cut even more.

Brandon Johnson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brandon Johnson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
