Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Foot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Foot!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Foot looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
Jones throws a right and a left that Foot avoids nicely.
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Foot wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Foot counters with a takedown into side control.
Jones sneaks back into half guard.
Jones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foot with a flurry of punches that miss.
Foot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
