Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Huge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Train!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huge lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Huge tries to sprawl but Train drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Train thows a huge punch but Huge dodges it nicely.

Train stands up and beckons Huge to join him on the feet.
Huge throws out a leg kick but Train moves out of range and Huge only half commits.
Huge throws a combination that misses

and Train counters with a single leg into guard. Huge didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Train showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Train drops back, looking for a kneebar! Huge looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Huge looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Huge!
Train tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Huge throwing shots but missing, from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Huge is chipping away with strikes.
Huge throws a strike aimed at the side of Train's head but Train avoids it well.
An elbow from Huge crashes against the mat.
Train gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Huge is working for a kimura but Train is defending it quite comfortably.
Huge not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Huge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Train keeps working.
Train is looking to improve his position.
Huge wants to pass to mount but Train is defending the position.
Train tries to get to full guard but Huge has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Huge stands up and beckons Train to join him on the feet.

Train closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Train looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Huge tries to kick Train off but Train keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Train controlling the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Train in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Huge tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Train!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Train!
