Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Diesel Power. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Larry Grant!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant leaves Serra with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck for Serra with that takedown attempt.
Serra lands with a straight right. Grant didn't see that one coming.
Grant walks into a jab.
Serra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grant.
Serra could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Serra throws a looping overhand right but Grant ducks down to avoid it.
Serra shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grant defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Serra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grant bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grant throws a series of punches but Serra avoids them all with ease.
Serra swats away the attempt to clinch by Grant.
Serra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grant sprawls well. Grant wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Serra gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Serra or perhaps it was just good defense by Grant which made him look bad.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Serra.

Serra looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Serra maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Grant could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Serra has cracked it and Grant is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Serra!
