Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Mir!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Norris.
Norris tries to clinch up
enabling Mir to counter with a crisp jab.
Mir misses with a leg kick.
Norris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Norris fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Norris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Norris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mir tries to avoid it but Norris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mir to the ground. Mir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Norris shoots in and drives through. Mir sprawls well.
Mir stuffs the takedown.

Norris wants to clinch but Mir slips to the side

and Mir counters with a crisp one two that drops Norris! Mir thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Norris to his feet! Norris is in big trouble!
Norris is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mir misses with a low kick as Norris jumps back.
Norris with a poor takedown
and Mir counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Norris off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Mir follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Norris was out before he hit the floor.
