Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Otunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charalabos Koukodimos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koukodimos has chosen Astarte - Mutter Astarte as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otunga wants to clinch but Koukodimos slips to the side

so Koukodimos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Koukodimos is pushing down on Otunga's leg trying to pass to half guard. Otunga is fighting to maintain full guard but Koukodimos has managed to sneak the leg through.
Otunga keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Koukodimos prevents Otunga from improving his position.

Koukodimos seems to be working for a kimura but Otunga defends the submission attempt.
Otunga tries to roll over but Koukodimos keeps him under control.
Koukodimos drops an elbow to the side of Otunga's head.
Koukodimos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Otunga's head.

Koukodimos is working for a submission of some sort.
Koukodimos takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Otunga is not content to let Koukodimos control the position.
Otunga has hold of Koukodimos's hands but Koukodimos slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Otunga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koukodimos on the ground.

and Koukodimos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Otunga!
Koukodimos is landing with some decent strikes but Otunga is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Koukodimos avoids the attempt from Otunga to control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Otunga is bucking up trying to escape but Koukodimos cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Koukodimos pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like David Otunga has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Koukodimos! Otunga is hurt baaadly! Koukodimos is firing away with more strikes - Otunga is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
