Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roland Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Kelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roland Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Kelly!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly is looking to clinch.
Harrison cracks Kelly with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Harrison has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kelly to stand back up!


It looks like Jim Kelly has been cut.
Harrison looks for the body kick but Kelly saw that one coming.
Harrison throws a hook but Kelly avoids it easily.
Kelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harrison moves away.
A punch combination from Harrison misses.
Kelly avoids the body shot from Harrison.
Harrison misses with a wild body shot.
Kelly takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harrison swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kelly shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harrison's guard.
Kelly is pushing down on Harrison's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harrison is fighting to maintain full guard but Kelly has managed to sneak the leg through.
Harrison is looking to escape.
Kelly is tying to control. Harrison wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kelly looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kelly throwing shots but Harrison is blocking nicely.

Kelly prevents Harrison from standing back up.
Kelly wants to pass to mount but Harrison is defending the position.

Harrison is defending against the submission attempts here by Kelly.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Harrison misses with a looping left.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kelly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harrison's waist but Harrison gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kelly off to one side.
Harrison tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harrison swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harrison swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harrison looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Harrison is breathing heavily.
Kelly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kelly shoots in and bounces Harrison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Harrison keeping full guard, as Kelly tries to pass.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kelly accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kelly slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kelly has gone for a leg lock! Harrison slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kelly's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kelly uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Harrison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kelly has a takedown stuffed.

Kelly drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harrison working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kelly.
Harrison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kelly is controlling him.
Kelly is stalling in the full guard.
Kelly won't allow Harrison to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Harrison pushes Kelly off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
No joy there for Harrison, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kelly takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kelly checks a leg kick.

Kelly gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Harrison gets underhooks to prevent Kelly's takedown attempt.

Harrison breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harrison misses with a series of wild punches.
Kelly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harrison pinned against the cage. Harrison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kelly avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Harrison. No joy for Kelly on that attempt.
Roland Harrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Kelly.
Harrison drops Kelly with a nice combination! Harrison dives into Kelly's guard, looking to finish!


Kelly is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kelly had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Harrison is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kelly Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Harrison's back instead.
Kelly is breathing heavily.
Kelly tries to get the hooks in deep but Harrison pushed the leg off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harrison holding both Kelly 's hands and preventing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harrison is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Kelly off. It looks like it's working - Kelly slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Harrison displaying calm under pressure there.
Harrison stuffs the takedown.
A right-left combo lands from Harrison.


That has opened up Jim Kelly's cut even more.

Kelly gets a clinch.

Harrison breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harrison fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kelly manages to avoid it.
Harrison ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A jab from Harrison misses.
Kelly looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harrison is fending him off so far but Kelly persists. Nope, Harrison circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harrison will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kelly fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kelly avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kelly gets a takedown into half guard.
Kelly is controlling the pace.
Harrison wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kelly trying to control from Harrison's half guard. Harrison has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Kelly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harrison swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kelly postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harrison is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kelly, into his guard.

Harrison gets to his feet - Kelly follows without any prompting.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harrison keeps the fight on the outside.

Kelly clinches with his opponent.

Harrison breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harrison throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kelly.
Harrison fails to land with a series of punches.
Harrison shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Harrison moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harrison throws a right and a left that Kelly avoids nicely.
Harrison shoots in for a takedown but Kelly shows good takedown defense.
Kelly misses with a takedown

and Harrison counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kelly's guard now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Kelly scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Harrison pushes Kelly away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kelly gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kelly decides to stand back up.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Harrison knocks Kelly out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
