The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Alcano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Franco drops his hands momentarily and Alcano takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Macho Franco has been cut.

Franco is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Franco postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alcano is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Franco, into his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Franco is looking to regain half guard here but Alcano keeps moving and retains side control.

Alcano is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Franco is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Franco flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Alcano anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Franco and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Alcano slips an arm under Franco chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Alcano has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Alcano is squeezing on Franco like an anaconda would it's prey. Franco fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
