Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gunner State (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scottyy McBiggy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). State kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blaze Of Glory by Bon Jovi. Scottyy McBiggy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scottyy McBiggy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBiggy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
State misses with a straight right.
Scottyy McBiggy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McBiggy lands a nice hook to State's body. State takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McBiggy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McBiggy throws a hook but State avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McBiggy swings widly with a right hand
and State counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McBiggy thinking.
McBiggy tries to clinch but State moves out of range.

McBiggy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before State has time to react.

McBiggy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows State to score an easy takedown into full guard.

State stands up over McBiggy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
State wants to pass the guard but McBiggy is keeping the position.
State missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
State is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
State won't allow McBiggy to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gunner State dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and State counters with a nice double leg into side control. McBiggy won't be happy with that.
State lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear McBiggy down.
McBiggy is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

State goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McBiggy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for State but great work by McBiggy.

McBiggy decides to stand back up. McBiggy steps back and let's State get back to his feet.
McBiggy throws a poor cross that misses

and State counters with a nice double leg into side control. McBiggy won't be happy with that.
State postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
McBiggy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
State working the head with strikes.
State throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
McBiggy is trying to get back to his feet.
State lands a nice forearm strike.

State in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

State is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McBiggy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
State postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
State connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McBiggy some visible discomfort.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McBiggy pushes State away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, State gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

State goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McBiggy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in State's guard! Nice work there by McBiggy!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
McBiggy wants to stand and escape but instead State has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as State accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
