Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hold Steady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Mako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mako is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Broken Dreams By Shaman's Harvest. Steady is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as George Mako enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hold Steady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Mako!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mako throws a lazy right hand but Steady sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Steady is breathing heavily.
Mako ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steady moves away.
Mako staying out of range there.
Steady lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mako circles away quickly and effectively.
Steady misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mako shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steady's guard.
Mako trying to control the position from guard on top but Steady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mako drops back looking for a leg! Steady is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steady manages to kick Mako off! Mako jumps back into Steady's guard.
Mako stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd cheers as Mako lands an impressive looking overhand right. Steady doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Hold Steady has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steady on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mako slips a jab from Steady.
Steady stuffs the takedown attempt from Mako. Mako gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mako tries to close the distance and clinch but Steady swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mako gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mako breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Steady closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Steady walks into a left hand.
Mako sizes up Steady with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mako cracks Steady with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mako misses with a looping left.
Mako steps into range and cracks Steady with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Steady flops backwards and Mako dives into his guard looking to finish!
Steady is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mako slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Oh Steady is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mako tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Steady seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mako is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Steady knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Steady defending against the ground and pound.

Mako decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Good exchange - Mako coming out on top.
Steady swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mako decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Steady's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mako works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mako is looking for a kimura but Steady is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mako to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mako seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Steady is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). George Mako!
