Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirasty clobbers Groucho with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mirasty avoids a kick to the body.
Mirasty misses with a leg kick
and Groucho counters with a leg kick.
Mirasty scores with a one two! Groucho had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mirasty uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Groucho.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Mirasty will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mirasty's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Groucho takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mirasty tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Groucho swivels and escapes.

Mirasty fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Groucho checks it well.

Mirasty's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Groucho connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mirasty scrambles back to his feet.

Groucho fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mirasty is out of range.

Groucho connects with an inside leg kick.
Groucho attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Mirasty shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Groucho can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mirasty throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Mirasty unloads with some shots from mount but Groucho bucks and avoids them well.

Mirasty swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Groucho is now in Mirasty's guard. A big mistake from Mirasty there, giving up the dominant position!

Groucho would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mirasty is on top in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mirasty looking to sit in guard and control but Groucho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mirasty has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Mirasty is trying to control the position but Groucho postures up.

Mirasty looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Groucho with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
