Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zach Reaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tragen Hyabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zach Reaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tragen Hyabusa!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaver tries to clinch up but Hyabusa circles away and keeps his distance.

Hyabusa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Reaver is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hyabusa asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Hyabusa tries to advance to mount but Reaver denies him.

Reaver is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hyabusa off and has taken his back!
I really don't envy Hyabusa right now.
Hyabusa trying to control the action but Reaver just sinks the hooks in.
Reaver controlling well, preventing Hyabusa from escaping the position.
Hyabusa breaks Reaver's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hyabusa postures up in Reaver's guard and throws a big left but Reaver blocks it.

Hyabusa throws and elbow that misses. Reaver uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hyabusa's guard. Nice move by Reaver!

Reaver is really struggling to control Hyabusa but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zach Reaver.

Hyabusa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Reaver is not going to allow Hyabusa to sit and survive in this position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Reaver's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
I would not like to be Hyabusa right now.
Hyabusa looking very determined here, making life difficult for Reaver.
Reaver slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Reaver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hyabusa's guard.

Tragen Hyabusa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Hyabusa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Reaver trying to control here.

Hyabusa trying to work for an americana but Reaver has managed to regain full guard.
Reaver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hyabusa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reaver manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Reaver is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Reaver is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hyabusa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reaver.

Hyabusa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reaver pulls his head out easily.
Reaver is looking to take a break and control but Hyabusa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hyabusa can do anything to dispel that myth.

Reaver is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hyabusa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hyabusa is working to get back to half guard.

Reaver is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hyabusa has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hyabusa wants to hold on but Reaver pushes him away.
Reaver looking to control but Hyabusa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Tragen Hyabusa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reaver sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

I've got Hyabusa winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
