Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Dubina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan has chosen Of Wolf And Man by Metallica as his entrance music. The key to victory for Ivan Dubina has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubina misses with a takedown attempt
and Kaplan counters with a stiff right hand.
Dubina lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Landon Kaplan has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Kaplan counters with a big uppercut that knocks Dubina off his feet! Kaplan dives into side control looking to finish!

Dubina is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kaplan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Dubina wants to get back to his feet but Kaplan drags him back down.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Landon Kaplan.

Kaplan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dubina looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A lull in the action here as Kaplan stalls from top position.
It looks like Kaplan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Landon Kaplan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dubina, as that shot connected.

Kaplan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dubina, pushing him back against the cage.

Dubina wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kaplan has Dubina pressed against the cage, preventing Dubina from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Dubina is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kaplan is trying to break the clinch but Dubina is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dubina instigates a clinch.
Dubina has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kaplan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kaplan keeps control of Dubina as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Dubina escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dubina shoots and misses
and Kaplan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Oh Dubina is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Landon Kaplan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Dubina throws a combination that misses

and Kaplan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Dubina.
Kaplan tries to throw a body punch but Dubina avoids it by throwing Kaplan back against the cage.

Dubina breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Kaplan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kaplan.
Dubina wants to stand up but Kaplan is controlling him.
Kaplan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Landon Kaplan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
