Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Son Goku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goku has chosen Cha-La-Head-Cha-La as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Payne darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Payne tries to pass the half guard into mount. Goku knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Payne not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Payne sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Goku defending well though.
Payne is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goku can do anything to dispel that myth.

Goku really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Payne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Payne looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Payne misses with a head shot. Goku uses the momentum to regain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goku wants to sweep but no luck.
Goku keeping moving, preventing Payne from controlling successfully.
Payne loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Payne has gone for a leg lock! Goku slips out almost immediately though and dives into Payne's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Payne is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Payne stands and throws Goku's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Payne looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Goku is avoiding damage well.
Payne creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Goku sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Payne gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Payne wants to control but Goku is keeping busy and won't allow it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Payne tries to roll over but Goku keeps him under control.
Goku wants to get back to his feet.
Payne is looking to control Goku's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Payne avoid being mounted?

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Payne connects with a nice looking jab.
Goku explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Payne throws a jab when Goku was well out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Payne crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Goku - the referee stops the clock and Payne gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Goku. Payne manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Payne is breathing heavily.
Goku keeps Payne at a distance using the push kick.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Payne takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fighters circling - Payne throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Goku counters with a low kick, right behind Payne 's knee.
Goku connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Payne takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Goku bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Payne on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Goku moves into range and clinches up with Payne.

Goku lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Payne or not.
Goku has Payne pushed against the cage.
Payne working hard to break the clinch.
Goku blocks an uppercut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Goku lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Payne drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goku pulls his leg out and moves away.
Payne blocks a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Son Goku dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Goku lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Payne dodges the punch combination from Goku.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Payne crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Goku - the referee stops the clock and Payne gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Goku. Payne manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Payne on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Goku fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Payne.
Son Goku seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Payne will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Goku swings for the body but Payne moves out of range.
Payne takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Goku works Payne's body with a nice hook.
Payne walks into a stiff left hand from Goku.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Both fighters circling a little - Goku finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Goku throws a nice inside leg kick.
Decent striking displayed by Goku there.
Goku fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Payne on the side of the head.
Payne tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Goku moves into range and clinches up with Payne.

Goku's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Goku lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Goku has Payne pushed against the cage.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Goku. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Goku breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Noah Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Payne tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goku sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Payne somewhat.

Goku throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Payne on the side of the head.

Goku lands a nice leg kick that just misses Payne's sensitive parts.

Goku lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Goku.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That kick from Goku tenderised Payne's leg. Payne is trying to keep his angry face on.

Goku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Payne.
Goku fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Payne on the side of the head.
Goku lands with a kick to the temple. Payne shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Goku wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Goku! Payne is out on his feet! Goku rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Payne is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Payne is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Son Goku!
Son Goku is the new heavyweight champion!
