Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauri Puukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lauri Puukko!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puukko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Serra.
Puukko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Serra misses with a takedown attempt
and Puukko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Serra gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Puukko counters with a big uppercut that knocks Serra off his feet! Puukko dives into side control looking to finish!

Serra is rocked!
Puukko creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Serra sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Puukko wants to stand but Serra is controlling his arm.
Serra sneaks back into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Serra tries to kick Puukko off but Puukko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Serra manages to get to full guard.
Serra trying to keep a closed guard but Puukko is proving a slippery customer.
Puukko makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Puukko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Puukko gets to his feet. Serra looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Serra throws an overhand right that lands on Puukko's shoulder, as Puukko tries to avoid the shot.

and Puukko counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Serra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Serra has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Puukko.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Serra. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Puukko counters with a monster head kick that knocks Serra out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
