Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Apollo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gee Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gee Damn!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apollo fails in his attempt to clinch.

Apollo throws a lazy right hand but Damn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Apollo throws a shot from downtown. Damn moves away and avoids it.
Apollo throws a sloppy body shot
and Damn counters with a leg kick.
Damn misses the shot to the body.
Apollo slips a straight right by Damn.
Damn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Damn throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Apollo counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Gee Damn has been cut.

Apollo scores with a sloppy right hand. Damn should have avoided that one.
Apollo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Damn is looking to clinch but Apollo is avoiding it.
Damn pivots, looking for a leg kick but Apollo is out of range and Damn settles back down.
Gee Damn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Apollo throws a combination that misses
and Damn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gee Damn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Apollo misses with a body punch
and Damn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Damn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Apollos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Damn is looking to clinch but Apollo is avoiding it.
Damn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Apollo. Damn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Apollo wants to clinch up but Damn keeps it at a distance.
Apollo throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Damn to counter with a crisp jab.

Damn listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Damn lands a head kick. Apollo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Ryan Apollo has been cut.
Damn throws a head kick that misses.
Damn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Damn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Apollo momentarily.
Damn looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Damn.
Damn moves into range and connects with a jab.
Apollo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Apollo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Damn!

Damn is just holding on here. Apollo manages to take his back.
Damn prevents Apollo from getting a body triangle.
Damn wants to control his opponent's hands but Apollo gets his hands free.
Apollo is riding his opponent, not letting Damn buck him off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Damn just looking to survive in the bad position.

Apollo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Damn has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Damn is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Apollo gets his way!
Damn breaks Apollo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Damn engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gee Damn dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Damn misses the jab.
Apollo avoids the body shot from Damn.
Damn misses with an attempted mid kick.
Damn throws the kick towards the body but Apollo avoids it.
Damn wants to slow Apollo down by chopping away at his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A low kick from Damn is predictable there
and Apollo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Damn throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Apollo swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Damn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gee Damn seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Damn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Damn makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Apollo really felt that one!

and Damn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Damn tries to clinch but Apollo moves away
and Apollo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Damn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Apollo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A slow jab from Damn misses its intended target.
Damn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Apollo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Apollo tries to clinch there but Damn circles away.
Damn scores with a hook to the body. Apollo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nice takedown defense from Damn. No joy for Apollo on that attempt.
Damn connects with an inside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Damn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Damn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Damn sizes up Apollo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Damn lands with a nice body kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Damn.

Damn clinches up with Apollo and pushes him back against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Damn.
Damn scores with a hook to the body.
Apollo takes a shot to the head.
Damn works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Apollo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Damn.
Damn lands an elbow inside.
Good body shot from Damn.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Damn makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Damn is leaning against Apollo and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Damn lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Apollo is rocked!

Damn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oh Apollo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Damn cracks Apollo with a left hook right on the temple and Apollo goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Damn lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Apollo is OK!
