Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Nemean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Straub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Straub keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Nemean has Straub up against the cage in a clinch.
Straub is trying to drag Nemean to the mat but Nemean just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Straub misses with a punch to the body.

Nemean breaks the clinch.

letting Straub counter with a right hand.

Straub slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Nemean is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Straub is taking a breather. Nemean says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Straub landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nemean trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Straub tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Straub is landing with some decent strikes but Nemean is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Straub is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nemean can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Todd Straub dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Straub shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nemean pinned against the cage. Nemean gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nemean throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Straub counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nemean's guard now.
Nemean is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nemean seems keen to control Straub's posture.
Nemean is trying to keep Straub in close.
Straub sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Straub is pushing down on Nemean's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nemean is fighting to maintain full guard but Straub has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nemean avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Straub.

Nemean regains full guard. Nicely done.
Straub working some strikes from top position.
Nemean wants to stand and escape but Straub is having none of it.
Straub's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Straub sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nemean's guard.

Nemean can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Straub controls the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Todd Straub wasn't active enough on the ground.

Straub looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nemean!

Straub has hold of Nemean's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nemean manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nemean is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Nemean is looking to get to half guard.
Straub postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nemean looks a forlorn figure.
Straub avoids the attempt from Nemean to control.
Straub controlling his opponent.
Straub fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Todd Straub showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Nemean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nemean tries to clinch there but Straub circles away.

Straub shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Straub showed some decent athleticism there.

Straub moves nicely into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Straub just content to control the position.
Nemean taking punishment in the form of punches.
Straub in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Nemean wants to control but Straub postures up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Nemean takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nemean is letting Straub control him for a moment.

You can see the frustration on Nemean's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Todd Straub comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Straub winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
