Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobrisio Herdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herdum has chosen Motorhead - Stay Clean as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joseph Bruce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bobrisio Herdum!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bruce scores with a jab. Herdum acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Bruce lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Herdum.
Herdum looks to land a body kick but Bruce moved away.

Herdum lands a head kick that stumbles Bruce and the fighters go to the mat.

It looks like Joseph Bruce has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Herdum tries to stand but Bruce is controlling from the bottom.
Bruce is breathing heavily.

Herdum stands up from Bruce's guard - Herdum perhaps looking for a knockout.
Herdum moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bruce lands a jab.
Herdum scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Herdum blocks a jab.
Joseph Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Danga de danga de dang - Bruce scores with a four punch combination!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bruce fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Herdum, pushing him back against the ropes.
Herdum is looking to break free of the clinch but Bruce has double underhooks.

Herdum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bruce has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Herdum.
Herdum cracks Bruce with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bruce takes a swing at Herdum's ribcage but misses.
Herdum moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Bruce avoids a punch combination nicely.
Herdum misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bruce throws a wild hook but Herdum just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Bruce gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - Herdum raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobrisio Herdum!
