Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Logan Somerville (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lavid Davine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davine has chosen Never Gonna Give You Up as his entrance music. Lavid Davine struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Lavid Davine has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Somerville shoots in looking for a takedown. Davine tries to sprawl out of it but Somerville keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davine manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Davine looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Davine is looking to clinch but Somerville is avoiding it.

Somerville closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Somerville lands in his opponent's guard.
Somerville stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davine swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Somerville working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Somerville wants to stand and escape but Davine is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Logan Somerville will probably get the nod.

Somerville had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Davine is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Somerville Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Davine's back instead.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Davine counters with an outside leg kick.

Somerville jumps guard and drags Davine to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Somerville is pulling down on Davine's head. It's preventing any offense from Davine, at least for the moment.
Davine wants to control from the top but Somerville keeps moving.
Davine might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Somerville kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davine tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Somerville shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Logan Somerville will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Davine is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Somerville scores with a couple of nice shots.
Davine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Somerville is working away from the top position though.
Somerville seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davine does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Davine is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Somerville knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Somerville for a finish.
