PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amicu Ker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zhork Krasto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amicu Ker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zhork Krasto!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ker throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ker shoots in but no luck this time.
Ker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Krasto tries to clinch but Ker moves out of range.
Krasto has his takedown stuffed

and Ker counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Krasto lands with a left to the head.
A hook to the body from Krasto.
Ker blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Krasto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Krasto tries to stall but Ker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Ker manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krasto closes the distance but Ker moves to the side

and Ker counters by clinching up.

Krasto pulls Ker into guard.
Ker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Krasto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ker wants to control from the top but Krasto keeps moving.

Krasto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Krasto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Ker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ker is looking to work some ground and pound but Krasto has wrist control.
Ker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Krasto is squirming around, avoiding Ker's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krasto as he avoids it easily.

Ker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Krasto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ker, up you get!

Ker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ker lands in his opponent's guard.
Ker is looking to work some ground and pound but Krasto has wrist control.
Krasto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ker manages to get himself to full guard.

Krasto is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close second round but I would say that Amicu Ker will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Krasto is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ker!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ker wants to take a breather but Krasto is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Krasto's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Krasto throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Ker wants to control but Krasto is keeping him busy.
Krasto is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ker asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Krasto misses with an elbow from the bottom.

Ker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Krasto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

I would just about give that final round to Zhork Krasto.
I think Ker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
