Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Colby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Cyren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyren is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nonpoint - Bullet With A Name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Colby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carl Cyren!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colby circles away from the clinch attempt
and Colby counters with a nice uppercut.
Cyren throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Colby could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Colby has his takedown stuffed
and Cyren counters with an inside leg kick.
Cyren tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Colby counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cyren is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Colby is controlling him.
Colby tries to stand but Cyren is controlling from the bottom.

Colby decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cyren, up you get!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick from Cyren lands but Colby takes it in his stride.

It looks like Jake Colby has been cut.
Cyren wants to clinch

and Colby counters with a takedown into side control.

Colby decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Cyren wants to clinch but Colby slips to the side

and Colby counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cyren looking to control.
Cyren pulls Colby in to control the position.
Colby tries to stand but Cyren is controlling from the bottom.
Colby is breathing heavily.
Cyren utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Colby has gone for a leg lock! Cyren slips out almost immediately though and dives into Colby's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cyren accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cyren tries to free his leg and advance position but Colby is retaining full guard.
Cyren is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Colby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Colby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cyren is one step ahead there.
Colby can't keep his opponent in guard - Cyren advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cyren slips a nice elbow through Colby's hands, connecting with Colby's forehead.

Cyren is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Colby doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cyren.

Colby is not content to let Cyren control the position.

Cyren is trying to work for a kimura but Colby is defending well.

Cyren is looking for a kimura but Colby is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cyren to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cyren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Colby keeps working.

Cyren is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Colby is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
