The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shilt misses with a head kick.
Shilt throws a lazy uppercut
and Shrew counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Alan Shilt has been cut.
Shrew misses with a body shot.
Alan Shilt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shrew misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shilt.
Shilt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shrew connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shilt scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shrew throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Shilt lands a big head kick that sends Shrew tumbling to the mat! Shilt takes a step backwards and waves Shrew back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Pappy Shrew has been cut.
Shrew clobbers Shilt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Shilt misses with a two punch combination.
Shrew drops Shilt with a big left hand! Shilt is injured, injured bad! Shrew jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pappy Shrew!
