The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escudero uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Belfort.
A swing and a miss from Belfort.
Escudero steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Belfort.
Escudero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Belfort circles away quickly and effectively.
Belfort displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Escudero throws out the jab.
Preuss Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort connects with a right hand. Escudero shakes it off.
It looks like Javier Escudero has been cut.
Belfort lands a big uppercut and Escudero crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Escudero looks OK. Belfort waves Escudero back to his feet!
Escudero is rocked!

Belfort has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Belfort there as he acknowledges the shot.
Oh Escudero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Escudero loads up on a big right hand but Belfort slips the punch.
Belfort throws a shot from downtown. Escudero moves away and avoids it.
Belfort avoids a punch combination nicely.
Escudero looks to land a combination but Belfort avoids it well.
Escudero is holding his hands too far apart here. Belfort throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Escudero is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
