Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Levin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ninja Berto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Levin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ninja Berto!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Levin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Berto misses the shot to the body.
Berto takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Levin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Berto moves away.
Levin takes a swing at Berto's ribcage but misses.
Berto has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Berto there as he acknowledges the shot.
Berto slips a straight right by Levin.
Levin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Berto looks to land a left hand but Levin moved out of range nicely.
Berto connects with a nice looking jab.
Berto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Levin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Berto somewhat.

and Berto counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Berto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Levin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A lull in the action here as Berto stalls from top position.

Berto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Levin has escaped the position, nice work there.
Berto is looking to take a break and control but Levin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Levin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Levin wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ninja Berto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Levin thuds his right hand into Berto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That was a close second round but I would say that Scott Levin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Levin is on top in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Berto has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Levin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Berto.

Berto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Levin is working away from the top position though.

That was a close round but Scott Levin did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
