Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and phil polaris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). polaris comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I Walk Alone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! phil polaris is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, phil polaris!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
polaris fails to land the takedown.
Bones wants to clinch

so polaris counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
polaris controls from within his opponent's guard.

polaris decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bones, up you get!
Jon Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bones tries to clinch up
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

polaris has Bones up against the cage in a clinch.
Bones just leaning against polaris, taking a breather.
polaris is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bones throws a knee to the head but misses.
polaris tries to score a body lock takedown but Bones shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bones manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bones connects with a nasty looking knee right to polaris's face.

polaris jumps guard but Bones stands there with polaris around his waist. polaris gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bones tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bones is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

polaris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. polaris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
polaris is controlling Bones's posture.
polaris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bones's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bones keeping moving, preventing polaris from controlling successfully.
Bones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bones tries to get out of the position.
polaris is stalling in the full guard.

Bones is working an open guard so polaris takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bones tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and polaris counters with a shoot takedown. Bones fights it but they end up in guard.

polaris sitting in guard, not really doing much.

polaris stands and steps away. Bones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

letting polaris counter with a right hand.
polaris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
polaris thuds a left hand into Bones's body.
polaris tries a head kick but it misses.
polaris fails to land the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bones gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bones tries to stall but polaris uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bones with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bones throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but polaris blocks it with crossed arms.
Bones stops a takedown attempt from polaris.

Bones lands a knee to the head.

polaris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and polaris counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bones won't be happy with that.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bones looking for a sweep but polaris has passed into full mount! Oh no!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

phil polaris dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Bones wants to clinch but polaris slips to the side

and polaris decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bones's guard.
polaris tries to free his leg and advance position but Bones is retaining full guard.
polaris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

polaris decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A head kick by Bones misses
letting polaris counter with a right hand.
Bones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and polaris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
polaris throws a head kick but Bones moves out of range.

polaris feints and as Bones raises his hands in defense, polaris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. polaris is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bones.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
polaris is staying tight to Bones's torso, preventing him from escaping.

polaris has knee on belly and moves into mount.

polaris is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bones shrugs it off.

Bones tries to buck polaris off but polaris takes his back!

polaris looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Bones taps!
