Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Hizen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hizen throws a right hand that Ortega ducks under and follows up with a left that Ortega also avoids with ease.
Hizen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hizen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ortega misses with a hook.
Hizen fails to land with a series of punches.

Ortega gets the takedown into side control.
Hizen tries to bench press Ortega off him but Ortega keeps the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ground and pound from Ortega seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Ortega wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hizen keeps working.
Ortega working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Ortega stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hizen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ortega.
Ortega tries to bum rush Hizen with a series of wild strikes but Hizen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ortega throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hizen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hizen misses with a two punch combination.

Hizen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hizen.

Hizen is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Ortega slows the pace down.
Hizen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ortega wants to get back to his feet.
Ortega looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hizen is trying to stand.
Ortega content to control rather than advance.
Hizen is not content to let Ortega control the position.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hizen tries to roll over but Ortega keeps him under control.

Hizen is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hizen tries to score with a low kick but Ortega moves his leg out of the way.

and Ortega decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hizen's guard.

Hizen pushes a forearm under Ortega's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ortega is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
